ALL NURSES AS LEADERS:
THE POSSIBILITIES IN A CHANGING HEALTH CARE ENVIRONMENT

Times are ever-changing at both clinical and academic settings. Nurses at all levels must be empowered leaders to improve patient and organizational outcomes. Dr. Cox will share lessons learned from the prestigious Clinical Scene Investigator (CSI) Academy that participants can use to become their institution's CSI leaders.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Describe the CSI Academy which empowers direct care nurses as clinician leaders and change agents
2. Explain the impact of mindfulness on patient safety
3. Define the leadership competencies needed in today's health care environment


AUDIENCE
Advanced practice nurses, bedside nurses, educators, current or aspiring nurse managers, nursing administrators, and nursing students.


CONTINUING EDUCATION
The University of Central Florida’s College of Nursing designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credit.
